| Three Rivers Radio Yachting
Club
was founded in 1978 by our former Commodore
Stan Cleal. Having been a keen dingy sailor Stan decided to
create a Radio Yachting Club and
with the help of some enthusiastic friends he persuaded the local council to let him use
one of their lakes at Rickmansworth Aquadrome. From these humble beginnings has grown an active and expanding club (currently 24 members) that offers top class radio yacht racing for the experienced skipper and excellent support for those new to the sport. The club has established itself as a regular venue for District and National competitions and has built a reputation for good organisation and a friendly atmosphere. To join the club, you don’t have to know anything about radio yacht sailing, all you need is enthusiasm and a few pounds for the annual membership fee.
